Check out the attached pics, all: father Marius Burke (photo #1) holds a 21 ½” Missouri rainbow only the be superseded by son Will’s 22” Mobow, capping the biggest of the big fish Day Two of the Tattoos on the Missouri River where Da Twos (get this) caught (and released) twelve (12) 20”+ fish, bringing their two day total of twenty inchers to (really get this) an all group-setting record of twenty (only three fish shy of Da E-11’s Ones’ then all-Extravaganza record setting 23 fish performance just a week earlier).
Day Two big sticks included twenty inchers caught and released by (a) each of the husband and wife combo of Bobby and Kelley Kingsland, (b) Ken Snider, and (c) Shanna Rodgers, plus two twenty inchers caught by Joe Ciatti plus three twenties caught by each of Doug Hamilton and Tom Thornhill (all nicknames being intentionally deleted in reverence of their accomplishment[s]).
Watch for an update on what happens tomorrow on the Tattoos Day Three, as the Mighty Mo is gonna be flowing at its all time record high rate of discharge—something that simply didn’t seem to phase Dem Twos during today’s high flow.
As for the Threes, with legendary water yet in the mountain climes and with 80-90 degree weather predicted for the next two days, it is now all but certain that Da Threes will have the same experience as their predecessors by fishing the Missouri River. As was well put by long time Extravaganza veteran Tim Rodgers tonite after two days on the Mo, “I will go back to the Missouri River any and every chance that I get.”
Viva la Extravaganza!
RCR
p.s. Threes: Be on the watch for special informational alerts from Patty in the next few days and from me post-Group Two, as, for the first time ever, the fishing is so good on the Mo that even I am going back tomorrow for a third day of fishing!
