Errate From a Man who Knows

Group Three go-be-honored guest Jeff Hagener (former head of Montana’s Department of Fish, Wildlife and Game, no less!) weighs in with the following technical correction:

Noted that at least one of the boats for a day out of your group one had a very good day with big fish!

Being a biologist in background, I have to point out one small technicality to your “Five Easy Twenties” dialogue.  You congratulated the fisherman on over 100” of native Montana trout.  Technically, neither rainbows nor browns are native trout to MT.  They are both wild trout as MT FWP does not (and has not for many years) stocked rivers and streams with fish, rather those waterways are dependant on natural reproduction.

Jeff

Picky, picky, picky, Jeff—100 inches for five fish in one day is still 100 amazing inches!!
